Main Protagonist | Kariyna Fable | Presenting 17 y.o. Female

Kariyna is the daughter of Aesop Fable and the narrator of the story. She's the only girl in the main group and eventually catches the attention of all seven boys, though each of them falls for her at their own pace and for their own reasons.

Mysteries follow her everywhere she goes, but she always has a way to find out the truth. She’s incredibly expressive and isn’t afraid to say what she thinks. Rules don’t apply to her if they’re in the way of her search for the truth.

Voice directions: A medium-high vocal tone, very expressive and able to show a large range of emotion. She will portray a variety of expressions in the show, and it’s important to be able to express feelings with your voice without visuals.

1. Curious / Excited

"Wait, wait, wait—go back. You said the archive was sealed for three hundred years, right? Then why is there fresh ink on the page? No, don't tell me it's a restoration. I know what old ink looks like. Look at this. The letters are still wet. Someone has been in here."

2. Frustrated / Determined

"Everyone keeps telling me to stop asking questions. Do you know how suspicious that makes you sound? 'Don't open that door.' 'Don't read that book.' 'You weren't supposed to find this.' Okay! Great! Now I absolutely have to know what's behind the door, what's in the book, and why nobody wanted me to find it."

3. Comedic / Overwhelmed

"I have been at this school for three days. Three. And somehow I've already broken into an archive, been accused of being a mistake by a magical scroll, nearly fallen off a pegasus, and apparently acquired seven people who think I'm going to solve every mystery that happens within a five-mile radius. I don't even know where my dorm is yet!"

4. Vulnerable / Quiet

"What if they're right? What if I really wasn't supposed to be here? Everyone knows their family history. Everyone knows where they came from, what their story is supposed to be. And then there's me. I don't even know why the Scroll wrote my name. I don't know what Narrative means. I don't even know who Vitoria is. Maybe... maybe there's a reason nobody remembers me."

5. High Stakes / Defiant

"No. I'm not leaving. You can lock the door, destroy the records, erase my name from every book in this school—but I'm still going to find out what happened. Because somebody spent seventeen years making sure I wouldn't ask these questions. And now that I finally can? I'm not going to stop."
