Jack Rackman

CASTING CALL: JACK RACKMAN — Captain, The Scarlet Tempest

Age range: Late 20s (character is 28)

Voice type: Confident baritone/tenor — charismatic and magnetic, with real warmth underneath the bravado

Character: Jack is the legendary captain of the Scarlet Tempest — charming, cunning, and fearless, known across the seas for daring raids and even cleverer tactics. He leads through wit and charisma rather than fear, with an unshakable belief in freedom. Underneath the easy charm is a mysterious past tied to the Pirate Council, and a man who takes real risks for the people he loves.

Voice direction: Looking for a cinematic, character-driven performance — natural confidence, quick banter, and the ability to shift seamlessly between playful flirtation and real emotional weight when the stakes get personal. No exaggerated or stereotypical "pirate accent."

Dynamic notes: Jack has significant chemistry-driven scenes with Ruby (bickering, growing partnership) and Tobias Reed (an established romantic relationship) — auditioners should be comfortable playing both platonic charm and genuine queer romantic intimacy (no NSFW scene).
