I guess I'm in love | A Deltarune Animatic
ShuichiVa for Noelle
Noelle
Noelle
Voice: Teen girl — high vocal range
Noelle is a teenage girl with a gentle, kindhearted, and somewhat shy personality. She tends to be more reserved and cautious, especially when expressing her feelings, but beneath that softness is someone who feels things very deeply.
In this project, Noelle is struggling to process her feelings for Susie. She cares deeply about her, but isn't entirely sure how to express those feelings or what they mean for their relationship. There is a sense of excitement and affection beneath her uncertainty, but also a fear of being too vulnerable or saying the wrong thing.
For the audition lines, we're looking for an anxious, uncertain, and intimate tone. Noelle shouldn't sound constantly frightened or overly nervous. Instead, think of someone who is trying to gather the courage to say something deeply personal to someone they care about. Her emotions may occasionally cause her voice to become more hesitant or vulnerable, but the performance should still feel sincere and natural.
Please prioritize clear diction and pronunciation, similar to the style of musical theater, where the audience should be able to clearly understand every word. However, don't sacrifice Noelle's gentle and somewhat hesitant personality in pursuit of perfect clarity.

For timing and melody, please use the celesta part in the original track as your primary musical reference. The celesta should help you identify the intended rhythm and melodic phrasing of the audition section.
Performance DirectionWhen recording your audition, focus on:
Clear diction and pronunciation
An anxious, uncertain, and emotionally vulnerable tone
Noelle's naturally gentle and reserved personality
Subtle hesitation rather than exaggerated nervousness
Allowing the affection and excitement underneath her uncertainty to come through
Making the lyrics feel like something Noelle is genuinely trying to tell Susie
Using emotional phrasing and vocal dynamics rather than simply singing the notes
The goal is to make Noelle sound like someone who really wants to say these things, but is still trying to find the courage to say them out loud.
You are welcome to submit multiple takes with different interpretations if you'd like to experiment with Noelle's emotional delivery.

Should we take this slow?
I don't really know?!
Is this just a dream?! Or reality?!!
