Latch — Idris Bello (Vantage Combine, Tracker)

FACTION: The Vantage Combine | ROLE: Tracker | GENDER: Male | AGE: Early-mid 30s | ACCENT TARGET: West African / British

WHO HE IS: Latch is patient the way a hunter is patient — he's not in a hurry, because he already knows how this ends. Dry, watchful, rarely raises his voice, and finds most people's panic mildly funny.

HIS ROLE IN ASHFALL: Tracker operator in an original, realistic tactical multiplayer FPS (Unreal Engine 5, Steam release planned), running a marksman rifle. His Scout Drone is a small ground drone that relays visual information to his team.

VOICE & PERFORMANCE: Calm, dry, understated — should sound almost bored right up until the moment he isn't. A West African/British accent should come through naturally. Needs a believable turn from dry patience to sharp focus without over-acting the transition.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: An actor comfortable with deadpan delivery who can still convey real menace underneath it.

AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS: Record all lines below in one clearly labeled file. Dry/clean recording, no processing. Give us your own interpretation, not a flat read. See the main project description for full context on Ashfall, compensation terms, and credit terms.

AUDITION LINES:

1. "Latch has the drone up. Give me a minute to find them."

2. "Dispatch, tracking movement — west side, moving your way."

3. "Drone's airborne. Nothing gets by me for long."

4. "They've spotted the drone — move now, before they reposition!"

5. (hurt) "Stings, but I've tracked through worse. Still on them."

6. "Everyone runs eventually. I've just got more patience than most."
