Aelias is the son of the Cheshire Cat and is easily one of the strangest students at Everspell. He’s unpredictable, mischievous, and almost impossible to read. He enjoys making people question whether he’s joking, serious, or both.

He’s extremely intelligent and notices more than he lets people know. Aelias is fascinated by mysteries and is one of the first people to take Kariyna’s situation seriously. He develops an unusual friendship with her based on curiosity, secrets, and the shared realization that something about Everspell doesn’t add up.

Voice directions: A medium vocal tone with a naturally unpredictable delivery. His voice should be expressive and playful, but capable of becoming calm and unsettling without warning. He should have strong comedic timing and be able to make ordinary lines sound suspicious, mischievous, or strangely significant.

1. Playful / Mischievous

"Did you really think I wouldn't notice? That's adorable. You walked into the room, lied three times, looked at the door seventeen times, and then tried to hide the evidence under your sleeve. Honestly, I would've been disappointed if you were better at this."

2. Comedic / Chaotic

"Okay, before everyone starts yelling, I would like to establish that I had a plan. It was a very good plan, actually. It was just... slightly shorter than expected. And significantly more flammable."

3. Quiet / Perceptive

"Something's wrong. No, I don't mean with the room. I mean with the story. Everyone keeps repeating the same version, but nobody can explain where it came from. That's usually the part people forget to question."

4. Vulnerable / Serious

"You know what's funny? Everyone thinks being impossible to read is the same thing as not feeling anything. It's not. Sometimes it's just easier to make people wonder what you're thinking than to let them know."

5. Dangerous / Controlled

"Go ahead. Lie to me again. I want to hear it. I want to know how many times you'll repeat the same story before you realize I've already figured out the truth."
