Despite her lonely and difficult circumstances, Penny is ever the optimist, and a never-ending well of energy. She operates entirely in the moment - she is reactive rather than thoughtful. Despite her reactive nature, she is rarely rude - her heart is simply kind. She is trusting to the point of naiveté.

She speaks easily, openly, immediately, according to her current mood, and her emotions are a pendulum of extremes. She quickly bounces back from anger or sadness or fear due to a stubborn insistence on optimism. But, when genuinely hurt, she retreats entirely into a quiet shell. All this, perhaps, is protecting something desperately fragile inside her.

We want our characters to sound distinct and memorable - we are fairly open to any accent/voices. All characters must speak English clearly.

Note: this character undergoes a transformation at the beginning of the series. Her personality will remain largely similar, but the role will likely require some kind of creature-noises and/or quirks, including yelling.
