Character Description

Torris Vindinium is an accomplished archeologist based in Valentis, Robur’s capital city. While his own research has been widely published, he is best known for his marriage to Volpe Vindinium, a nation renowned blacksmith who has created bespoke pieces for some of Robur’s most famed Guild members.

He is a fairly private and very reserved man, which only serves to bolster rumours about the circumstances under which he lost his leg in his youth. If asked directly, he often jokes that it’s a perfect opportunity to show off his wife’s talents. 

During the events of the Pilot, he is part of a three person team who have secured a grant from the Anthropological department of Minerva University in Valentis, to study the ruins of Silva Magna. They are attempting to prove a hypothesis that some of the ruins are from different time periods and/or are related to completely different societies. This is a hotly contested hypothesis in academic circles. 

He works closely with Julia Velo and Hector Valis, colleagues specialising in anthropological research. 

Main Things to Know about Torris:

• He is in his late 30s. 

• He is a Cambion (has infernal heritage) and is tall and physically imposing to boot. His demeanour doesn’t reflect his physical stature in any way. 

• He’s very meticulous both in his professional and personal life. He believes things are not worth doing if they are not done correctly and with care. 

• He has been working with both of his colleagues, Hector and Julia, for a significant amount of time and cares for them both. But he does not care for Julia’s adventurous attitude. 
  

Performance notes:

• A North American accent is required but no specific region is preferred.  

• Torris is soft spoken. He will repeat himself, if needed, but he will rarely raise his voice.

• When particularly upset, he will speak faster.

• His humour is dry and matter-of-fact, making strong use of his keen observational skills.
