Voice direction: Reinah should sound sweet, gentle, comforting, and trustworthy at first. She should have the kind of voice that makes the magical girls feel safe around her.
The important part is that her villainy isn’t immediately obvious.
At the beginning, Reinah should sound like the perfect magical mascot: encouraging, affectionate, and always ready to reassure the girls.
But once her true intentions are revealed, that same voice becomes much more unsettling because she doesn’t necessarily stop sounding kind.
She can say something horrifying in the exact same gentle tone she used when comforting Airi.
That makes her much scarier.
