Before dying in a suspicious fire, Nate Palethorpe earned his keep as the local handyman. He was the boyfriend of Nicole French, one of the mod’s primary characters who mysteriously went missing around the time of his death. Being a charred corpse by the time the story begins, he is usually only heard in voice recordings captured prior to his untimely demise, though he also shows up as an apparition in a very Disco Elysium-esque dream sequence.
