Scotty is a twitchy conspiracy obsessive, survivalist, and producer who treats every ordinary problem like evidence of a larger operation. He is paranoid, intense, defensive, and constantly trying to prove that he sees what everyone else refuses to see. He believes in radical individualism, but also desperately wants people to wake up and follow his warnings. His biggest flaw is hysteria: he can sense corruption around him, but his mind turns every fact into a five-alarm prophecy.
Voice Description
Scotty's voice is nasally, raspy, tense, fast, suspicious, and slightly unstable, with sudden spikes of volume when he thinks he has uncovered something important. He often sounds like he has been awake too long and is trying to explain the truth before someone cuts the power.
Performance Notes
Play him anxious, combustible, and overcommitted, but not stupid. He should sound like he believes every word he says, even when it is insane. Avoid making him just a screaming conspiracy guy. He should sound certain and panicked. When calmer, he should still feel coiled, suspicious, and ready to interrupt reality.
