The premise of “Gleamlake” sounds lovely and I would want to be involved with the project. Although I'm still new to screenwriting, many poems, haikus, and pieces of fiction that I have written were published in various literary journals and magazines (online/physical). My current experience as an editor for Nat 1 Publishing has allowed me to proofread submissions for upcoming/future issues and copy-edit accepted manuscripts. Two fantasy manuscripts that I received editing credit (pen-name is CJ The Tall Poet) include: “Gnats -Allodasos,” Book 1 (2nd edition) by B.S. Paid: Flat Rate 60 USD

Compensation: $50 USD per completed and approved milestone

Role Description:
We’re looking for a writer to join the Story Development Team for Gleamlake, an independent 3D animated fantasy musical feature film.

You’ll work closely with the Head Writer, Director, and the rest of the Story Team throughout screenplay development.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend regular Story Team meetings and actively participate in discussions

  • Work closely with the Head Writer and other writers on screenplay development

  • Contribute ideas for scenes, character development, dialogue, pacing, and story structure

  • Complete assigned writing tasks and milestones by agreed deadlines

  • Review story materials and provide constructive feedback

  • Help maintain consistency with established characters, worldbuilding, and the overall direction of the film

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of character-driven storytelling

  • Comfortable working collaboratively within a writing team

  • Reliable communication and willingness to attend meetings consistently

  • Comfortable receiving and implementing feedback

  • Previous screenwriting, creative writing, or story-development experience is a plus

  • Interest in animation and fantasy storytelling is strongly encouraged

Payment:
$50 USD per completed and approved milestone. Specific assignments, deadlines, and milestone requirements will be communicated by the Head Writer and Director.
