Atlas (he/him) is sixteen years old. He's an Ember–a humanoid creature that is immune to and can create fire–who's just trying to find his place and people in the world. He doesn't seem to take much seriously, and he can be slightly aloof at times, but he has a big heart and is extremely emotionally intelligent.
This is a major role, and will be recurring in most future episodes except for one.

(Anger, on the verge of tears) "You baited me down there, and f-for what?! Why the hell did I need to see that?!"
(Reluctant, solemn) "I messed up a few years ago. Really badly. It's the whole reason I'm not on good terms with my brother. A lot of people in the Firescape don't want to listen to my side of the story."
