William Afton is a lead role. He is intelligent, controlled, and emotionally restrained, with genuine but imperfect care for his son beneath a guarded exterior. Following his son's death, that restraint gives way to hollow grief and a growing capacity for vengeance manifested in the entity 'Thanatos', who will also be voiced by the William voice actor since they (thematically) are the same.
We are looking for a grounded adult male performance with an emotional range that encompasses quiet paternal concern, raw emptiness, and the ability to shift naturally between Thanatos, the parasitic manifestation of Williams' grief, and William's cold manipulation due to Thanatos' influence. Avoid cartoonish villainy or exaggerated anger. Clean, untreated audio only. Please perform all three lines in AABBCC format.

The sides they read from:
  • Evan, why don't you go and play with the other boys? That plush will still be here when you get back.

  • It's too quiet. I keep waiting to hear him upstairs... or for him to come running through that door. But he isn't coming back, is he?

  • Henry will keep standing there with that look on his face—pretending he understands loss. He doesn't. Not yet. If he took Evan from us, then we make him suffer for it.
