Character Profile: Jackie Taylor’s mother. Thanks to her daughter, she has recently retired early from her menial job and is struggling at the prospect of having too much free time. A staunch believer in family-first, she wants nothing more than a simple life with her husband and children, in which everyone is safe and comfortable. Unfortunately, her daughter being a risk-taking spelunker with a lavish lifestyle complicates that beyond reconciliation, something she is still struggling with.
Video: Performed in an Australian accent. For Grace we're looking for a maternal tone with a sense of strain behind it from years of shouting. We'd like a medium-high pitch with sharp intonations and a sense of restrained tension in her speech, as if she always has very strong feelings on her mind but is always looking for the most diplomatic way to express them.
