The clockwork constructs are a set of mechanical guardians with a short set of preprogrammed phrases. They sound the same, and they sound like fantastical robots. There’s no electronic tint to their voice — they’re animated by magic, not electricity — but they contain that same strange stresses on inappropriate syllables that robots tend to have.
They can be of any gender.
