Jie Avesna is an enemy boss character fought in the game.

Jie Avesna is one of the remnant people of what was once the country of Tianxu, but unlike many of her people, she could honestly care less about the country that died all that time ago. Her main focus was to herself and her own pursuits in the realm of medicine. Joining a shadowy cabal of smugglers and traffickers, she gave her services to both enrich herself and further her own goals.

Besides that only two things are truly known about her. She desires in some way to reclaim her youth. Many of her poisons are byproducts of her search for immortality that proved useless for her, but useful to make ends meet. She aligns with the Lilac Saint after believing her promise of granting her eternal life. The second thing that is known, but mainly to the party is that she is the former lover of Lutz, who worked in the same organization.

Unlike Lutz, Jie does not regret anything she did. She doesn't believe herself innocent, but doesn't see people or the concept of life as inherently worth preserving outside her own.

Despite Jie coming from the equivalent of the Far East, she isn't someone who has a noticeable accent from that area as she tries to blend in with the people around her. The voice actress can choose if they want to include one, but can also use their more natural tone for her. Generally her tone is dismissive, or deliberate not really humoring much of anything or anyone. Primarily goal oriented to achieving eternal youth, she doesn't much care about anything else.

She won't admit it, but she does still hold a flame for Lutz, but she'll never change to redeem herself. She'll only accept Lutz if he turns to the shadows to stay with her rather than improve herself.

The sides they read from:
  • Tinctures, and balms, poisons and toxins, Jie Avesna provides it all so long as you have coin to spare.

  • That fool Lutz. He truly thinks he can escape his past? Oh well, I don't care what that sentimental fop does anymore. He's nothing to me now.

  • The Lilac Saint has promised me the fountain of youth. I'm not so foolish to believe she'll give a non-believer such a boon, but it won't hurt to see it for myself. If I learn how it's made, I can simply make it myself.
