In a world where monsters and non-human creatures are exiled, ostracized, and vilified, THE MONSTER lives a lonely life in his makeshift home in the sewers beneath the city streets. Until a violent scene passes overhead, and he chooses to save a life. Welcoming THE MAN into his home. The Monster doesn't speak, and can't understand English. He "hums" "mumbles" and "murmurs" almost like a wise old man. We are imagining a fascinating creature voice, mixing reptilian/amphibian-like sounds to portray emotions of empathy, shyness, care, and compassion.

  • Imitate The Monster preparing a drink for his new friend, and guest in his home, The Man. He pours two glasses, and holds one out to him as an offer, hoping he will accept. When The Man does, he's joyful, and they sip together. He wants to take care, heal, and nourish him back to his feet.
