Additional Voices (Adult Male)

This role covers all adult male background and minor characters in The Ones Who Never Left. Actors/actresses cast here may voice multiple small roles such as technicians, police officers, neighbors, workers, background fathers, or incidental characters who appear briefly throughout the story.

This role is ideal for actors/actresses with flexible delivery, natural realism, and the ability to shift tone as needed. Performances should feel grounded, human, and subtle — never cartoony or exaggerated.

Characteristics:

• Adult male (20s–50s)

• Natural, grounded delivery

• Able to portray multiple small characters with distinct tones

• Comfortable with emotional, neutral, or tense scenes

• Can shift between warm, stern, tired, or professional voices

• Realistic, subtle acting preferred over theatrical styles

Vocal Notes:

• Medium to low male voice

• Clean, natural tone

• Ability to adjust intensity depending on the character

• Should sound like real people, not caricatures

• Emotional range: neutral → tense → concerned → authoritative

Is this role a lead? No. This is an ensemble role, and multiple actors may be selected.

Software Needed:
Any basic recording setup is acceptable. Minimum requirements:

• A DAW (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Reaper, Logic, etc.)

• A decent microphone (USB or XLR; no phone mics)

• Ability to export clean WAV or MP3 files

• Basic noise reduction/cleanup capability

No special plugins required.
