THE HOLLOW - Character Voice Exploration
Andrew Hagen for Elias Ward
Elias Ward
Male | Late 30s | Main Protagonist
Elias Ward is a crime scene photographer who returns to his childhood town of Hollow after receiving a disturbing voicemail from his estranged sister, Sarah.
Elias is intelligent, observant, and emotionally guarded. He has spent years documenting other people's tragedies while avoiding his own.
He begins the story as someone who relies on logic and reason, but Hollow slowly forces him to question his memories, his past, and what he believes is real.
His voice should feel natural and grounded. He is not a fearless action hero, he is an ordinary man trying to remain calm while everything around him becomes impossible.
