Ryu is the son of the impel down warden Magellan. He works for the Navy and is a rear admiral which happens to be the fourth highest rank in the entire Navy being only one rank under Vice-Admiral! Like his father, Ryu also has a devil fruit power. Which happens to be the Through Through Fruit allowing him to go through walls and such and while this doesn't provide a form of physical power he can easily evade into a wall and escape an attack, but can also use Armament Haki in order to deliver serious damage to his enemies using a Sea Stone Spear which can nullify his opponents Devil Fruit powers whether they be Logia, Paramecia, or Zoan type. He has said that he will turn in the worlds greatest criminals to the world government in hopes of becoming the next Admiral one day.
