T-TED

T-TED is the automated announcer aboard the Chicago TurtleBus. On the surface, he's a cheerful public transport AI whose only job is to welcome passengers, announce stops, and remind people of bus etiquette...Until something begins speaking through him.

His voice should feel distinctly robotic, but not monotone. Think of an old, slightly run-down text-to-speech system that's developed a personality over years of service. He has a high-pitched, raspy, gravelly quality, almost as if his speakers are worn out. There should also be a touch of Beetlejuice-esque theatricality to his delivery, making him strangely entertaining while still unsettling.

Requirements:

• Decent microphone quality with minimal background noise.

• Comfortable performing robotic speech patterns.

• Able to perform glitch effects through acting (audio effects will be added in post).
