The Dolorosa is the Signless's mother, and perhaps the first and only mother on Alternia. She accepts the role gladly and takes the other rebels under her wing as well, acting as their spokeperson and caretaker. She is warmheated and soft-spoken. She is a warm soprano, and has the closest voice to operatic in the musical (it doesnt have to be, though!)
