BACKGROUND:
Originally from Boston, Patricia moved east with her husband to be nearer to his parents when they fell ill. She mainly worked hospitality jobs in her youth before encountering William and Charlotte Kane, who offered her a job at their mansion. They recognised her diligent, exacting nature in keeping things in order, even if it did feel a tad strict. It was just her nature, ever since she was a child. Charlotte in particular was favoured by Patricia, because it was Charlotte’s hand on the reigns that kept the Kane family steady.
Charlotte’s death hit Patricia hard, but out of loyalty to her memory she stayed with William even after he lost all the money, sold the house, and moved to a smaller home. Patricia even stayed when William failed to pay her for months. However she would have endured all of it were it not for William suddenly firing her without any notice whatsoever. Patricia had imagined herself part of their family, and yet here she had a door slammed in her face. So she began to bear a grudge.

Base: “Mrs. Kane was always fair to me and mine. I owe her family a great deal.”
Indignant: “I gave fifteen years to that family! And what did I get for it? Four months of missing wages and a big ol’ door slammed in my face. To hell with the Kanes. To hell with ‘em!”
Sad/Remorseful: “You have to understand. I didn’t know, I swear it. Poor Mr. Kane. No one deserves to die alone in a house like that.”
