​🚨 TEAM RULES & REQUIREMENTS (READ BEFORE AUDITIONING)

​Joining this project means becoming part of an official, professional, and dedicated team. I am very picky about who I work with, and we maintain strict standards to keep the environment safe, smooth, and fun for everyone.

​Acting > Voice Impression: Your ability to capture her gentle warmth, quiet strength, innocence, and emotional resonance matters infinitely more than matching a specific pitch or fan impression.

​Age Limit (17+ Only / 18+ Preferred): You must be at least 17 years old to apply. 18+ is heavily preferred to ensure minor safety and a mature team dynamic across the studio.

​Microphone Quality (Decent & Clear): You don't need a high-end studio setup, but your mic must be clear with no background noise, room echo, or peaking so your voice comes through properly.

​VRChat Setup (Soft Requirement / Strongly Preferred): Owning a VR headset with working VRChat is strongly preferred. It won't instantly disqualify you, but VR players will have a heavy advantage due to our body-acting and cinematic filming needs.

​No Drama: Keep it completely drama-free. Unnecessary drama results in immediate removal.

​Family-Friendly Tone & Community Integrity:

​Character Tone: This is a Sonic project. Characters are lighthearted, adventurous, and kind above all else.

​Content & Language: We maintain clean entertainment. Cursing is heavily restricted—mild words like hell, damn, or bastard are fine in moderation, but heavy profanity (f-bombs, etc.) is strictly prohibited.

​Inclusive Environment: Zero tolerance for slurs, hate speech, or discrimination. We accept and welcome all races, genders, and sexualities.

​Scripted & Body-Acting Teamwork: Our long-form non-gaming content is heavily scripted. Voice actors and VRChat body actors work directly in tandem, so high coordination and script discipline are required.

​No Preachiness & Open to Loose Ships: Leave personal agendas at the door, and keep an open mind regarding character dynamics.

​FUTURE REVEAL ROLE:

Maria will NOT be appearing in the initial lineup of videos. Her return as a hedgehog is being held as a major future narrative payoff. We are pre-casting her role now so her voice can be ready when her storyline kicks off down the line.

​🦔 Character Breakdown: Maria the Hedgehog

​Personality: The Gentle Heart & Bewildered Soul. Reimagined with her hedgehog form, Maria remains the embodiment of hope, kindness, and unconditional empathy. However, her return brings massive personal confusion—she has absolutely no memory or understanding of how she came back, why she has this body, or what brought her here. Despite this deep mystery, her core nature is unchanged: she looks at the world with wonder, longs for peace, and carries an inherent warmth that softens even the coldest hearts.

​Vocal Direction: Mid-to-high range, soft, warm, gentle, and expressive. Needs a tone that feels genuinely kind and hopeful, but capable of conveying subtle confusion, wonder, and emotional depth.

​Note from the Director: Maria is the emotional anchor for Shadow and a central mystery in our future stories. We need an actor who can balance her pure, sincere warmth with the quiet bewilderment of someone waking up to a second life she doesn't understand. Also, keep in mind—our cast will have moments where we sing or do musical tracks, so having a clean, gentle singing voice or good pitch control is a huge bonus!
