Marvel X-Men Trilogy Retrospective! (V.A's Needed)
Nshiko Obi for Storm/ Ororo Munroe
Storm/ Ororo Munroe
Storm is the confident and courageous co-leader of the X-Men. Whether the movies portrayed that correctly or not is up to the viewer. However, in my reinterpretations of her scenes, she'll get a stronger role and have more interactions and drive in the narrative.
For this role, I'm looking for someone who can convey that strong sense of leadership while also being calm and controlled. Storm demands respect and will earn it regardless if you give it to her or not. She is technically royalty after all.
FOR THIS ROLE, IT IS MUCH PREFERRED THAT THE AUDITIONEE IS OF AFRICAN/AFRICAN AMERICAN DESCENT AS TO BEST REPRESENT THE ETHNCITY OF THE CHARACTER; THOSE WHO DO NOT MEET THAT CRITERION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
As with all these auditions, I don't mind if someone does their own interpretation of this character rather than trying to sound EXACTLY LIKE the movie version.
(This is also a pseudo double role as you'll also have a small part in the video as Storm impersonating Mystique.)

[Snarky, but proud] Do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning?... The same thing that happens to everything else.
[Sorrowful, mourning Charles Xavier] We live in an age of darkness: a world full of fear, hate and intolerance. But in every age, there are those who fight against it. Charles Xavier was born into a world divided, a world he tried to heal... a mission he never saw accomplished. It seems it's the destiny of great men to see their goals unfulfilled. Charles was more than a leader, more than a teacher. He was a friend. When we were afraid, he gave us strength. When we were alone, he gave us a family. He may be gone, but his teachings live on through us, his students. Wherever we may go, we must carry on his vision. And that is a vision of a world united.
