Wheelchair-bound and widowed following a stick-up gone awry, former bar owner Abby, always a pillar of the community, now splits her time between running the town treasury and serving as the incumbent speaker for the local assemblies, exemplifying the high amount of trust and esteem she enjoys as the "town mom".


She is wise, personable and has lived a full and eventful life, though when encountered away from the hustle and bustle of the streets, it becomes clear she has yet to come to terms with her personal tragedy - and that perhaps she never quite will.
