Composer (Visual Novel)

I'm seeking a composer for Things Perfect and Immortal, a story-driven visual novel currently in active development.

This is a long-term project requiring original music written for specific scenes rather than a complete soundtrack all at once. The game spans a wide range of genres and emotions, including psychological horror, western, science fiction, fantasy, mystery, and quiet character-driven moments. For me, music is another storyteller. It should leave the player feeling something long after the scene has ended.

I already have access to an extensive licensed music library and use it throughout the project. I commission original music only when a scene requires something unique that cannot be achieved with production music. Because of that, I'm looking for a composer who enjoys writing music that supports the pacing, emotion, and storytelling of a scene rather than simply creating background atmosphere.

I'm looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys collaborating and accepting creative direction.

  • Is comfortable writing in a variety of musical styles.

  • Can compose music that evolves with the scene and enhances the player's emotional experience.

  • Is interested in a long-term creative partnership.

Please include links to your portfolio or examples of your work. Experience scoring games, animation, or film is a plus, but not required. I'm interested in hearing your musical voice and how you approach storytelling through music.

Finalists may be invited to compose a paid sample cue for a specific scene before any long-term collaboration begins.
