The leader of the Anti-Cloud Gouger Special Forces, a specialized squad from the Kamunabi formed to oppose Sojo and his Enchanted Blade, Cloud Gouger.
Hagiwara normally cuts a lackadaisical figure, talking casually with those above him such as Shiba or Azami as well as with fellow members of his squad, but can instantly grow serious when the moment requires it.
SPOILERS AHEAD: His personality took a sharp turn for the worse after awakening from his coma incurred after his loss to Sojo, becoming more deranged and nihilistic. He’s distantly aware his whole squad had died, but he starts to use Kugura’s mask and speak to it like an imaginary friend, trying to rouse him back into action. While this isn't part of the current arc, actor would obviously need to play both sides of him.

Well unfortunately, our mission is to kill Sojo. Saving the kid isn’t part of our assignment. But from what I gather, you’re a hothead with a cool facade. Even if we told you to stay put, you’d prolly sneak off, right? Leaving you alone is probably the most dangerous thing we can do.
