While Iwai and Nakahara typically function as the hitmen of the staff, there is still the issue of removing the bodies, whether they be inside or outside of the killing game. This task falls to Kato. He's a rather lax member of the staff, as he doesn't usually have much work to do. He gets along well with the rest of the team, often lightening the mood through sarcastic remarks and jokes. Despite this, he is a skilled worker that works tactfully, no matter how tense the circumstances.

His voice should reflect his cool demeanor. He's the second oldest of the staff, and as such cares less about a lot of the melodrama and personal issues within the team. A voice actor for him should be good with deadpan humor and be able to get a sort of uncaring calmness in relation to much of the killing game. A deeper voice would likely work, but there are no specifics.

  • (Discussing a potential murder, seemingly having thought it out prior) “Think about it. Once the motive gets introduced, who else would be trusting enough to get lured somewhere isolated? The manor’s pretty small, so it’ll be tough getting away with it. They’ll need to get creative. Nab someone’s key, lure the victim to their room, and kill them in there.”

  • (Cleaning up the manor while the students are in a trial, over the phone) “In a trash bag. Look, you know I’m good at what I do. When I say the foyer’s all that’s left, I mean it. Just some droplets and streaks here and there. I think you underestimate how long this takes. I had to unlock all those new rooms for the students as well.”

  • (Complaining, almost a little offended) “He can’t be serious… we knew things would end this way. He agreed to do this. I’m not crazy for calling him out on this, right?”
