Michael Emond
auditioning for
Ren Thackery
in The Powerless at Aurora Academy
Easygoing, dry, deadpan humor; comic relief with real depth underneath. Needs strong comedic timing and understated delivery — the humor works best when played completely straight-faced.
(Completely deadpan) "I have never once suggested fireworks were mandatory. I have merely hoped for them, on occasion, as a reasonable bystander."
(Casual) "You missed a genuinely spectacular disaster in Practical Applications. Professor Callister's eyebrows may never recover."
(Sincere) "Whatever happens tomorrow, you're going to be fine. We're not going anywhere."
