The tone of this chapter is a calm and ominous sense of sadness and guilt.  Voice inflection is priority, I must feel the emotion.

I haven't figured out whether I want a deeper voice, or a younger voice, but it will be somewhere in that range.  When I hear the voice, I'll know it belongs.

  • Ch. 1: All Good Things...

You shouldn't have come. But now that you're here, give me the chance to tell my side of the story.

I was once like you. Normal person; normal life. I would go to school and work, Christmas with family, New Year's Eve with friends. I had aspirations of being some wealthy company CEO, or returning home as the typical small-town war hero. Hard to imagine that was me just a few years ago. Cinderella, Toy Story, Frozen; Big Hero 6; they all ended well. The good side won, the bad side lost; everyone lived happily ever after.

This isn't that. If you're looking for a happy ending, you shouldn't read any further. There is no justice to be found here. No sense of peace. What began as naive curiosity transformed into a sinister reality. I tell this only to set the record straight. I did this. I was a fool to think I could control it, and I can't blame it for wanting to survive. Honestly, I can't blame anyone but myself.

Don't read this, not if you value your innocence.

Very powerful take, Felt. The slowed pace was, for the most part, effective in conveying a grave foreboding about what is to come. It slowed down just a tad too much at a few points, and it felt like I was about to tip over a cliff waiting on what you were going to say next, but that oddly kept me itching for what you were going to say after that. You are definitely close to what I am going for.

Thank you so much Theorybee. Pacing can always be adjusted. This read was very 'smooth' for me and comfortable. It's something that has depth and meaning in it for sure, which Is something I love seeing.
