Hasdrubal is a playable companion, and one of the main characters in Fugue's End. He is the ever whimsical guide of the main party who has gone against his peers in order to fight humanity's right for free will.

Similar to his two companions present in the last two audition calls ,Yusha, and Lavie, Hasdrubal is an Angel, but unlike them he is a "Fallen Angel". He does not obey the whims, and desires of the Lilac Saint, and has had his divinity struck down as a result causing his halo to be broken, and corrupted. He is a man deeply fascinated by the living races of the world, and wishes to see what they're capable of when they carve their own path outside of the machinations of higher powers. Besides his fascination with the cultures of the world, he is rather eccentric, and jovial as an individual always looking forward to what the next day will bring, and the new people he will meet along the way.

Hasdrubal's appearance and expressions are based around the Cheshire cat, and a lion's mane for his hair. He can speak like a carnie showman or a mischievious angel. Despite his sometimes devious nature, he is an ally to the main cast, and always does his best to aid, and protect them, but he isn't above playing a few tricks to help sort things out or amuse himself for a time.

Hasdrubal's voice is unique among the cast. He present himself as male, but his voice actor need not be a man. His voice is meant to evoke all of life so his voice actor can be a man, woman or anyone in between. The main focus is that his voice be whimsical, and mischievious, but capable of being tender, and honest when the situation calls for it.

The sides they read from:
  • My name is Hasdrubal. Doth thou have the strength to defy the divine?

  • Oh joyous joy, wonder of wonders, I wonder what awaits us today?

  • To defy divinity was no easy task, but the burden carried was worth the price of my wings. Should my life cease to be, let it be so in the defense of all who call this place home.
