You would greatly benefit from taking your time with lines. Take a moment to skim them, practice words, place your pauses. And then when you do your reads, relax, take breaths, really feel what you're trying to say. Not every character is going to run away with a line. Kai Satou is one of those. He should feel elegant and sure on top of being terribly socially inept. He's regal. Not the type to rush a sentence or forget to breathe.
