The Bastille
ThomasVA for Alfred Godefroy
Late 50s-Early 60s, mid, soft and authoritative yet eerily playful. Character reference: Tywin Lannister (Game of Thrones), Count Frollo (Hunchback of Notre Dame), Sharekahn (Jungle book)
The proud warden of the illustrious prison. Godefroy is a devoted servant of justice and a god-fearing man. Treating the reformation prisoners as his highest calling. But beneath his regal exterior lies a sadist zealot that takes just as much if not more joy in crushing the spirits of others.

[Elegant Introduction] Yes, my name is Alfred Godefroy. I am the warden of this fine establishment. Please, have a seat. I was just about to have dinner. You must be famished.
[Charitably offering] Merlot? I find it pairs marvelously with the duck. Unlocking its full potential. It’ll practically soar across the palate.
[Fond yet sinister recollection] What a year it’s been. The ups, the downs… I feel as though we’ve grown close in the time we’ve spent together, Douglas. So, I thought it would be a nice gesture to try and recapture our first moments.
