CHARACTER OVERVIEW:

Hal Jordan is the designated Green Lantern of Sector 2814, protector of Earth and one of the most respected members of the Green Lantern Corps. A former test pilot, Hal possesses an almost reckless degree of courage and an unshakable belief that no challenge is impossible. He dives headfirst into danger, trusts his instincts, and refuses to back down even when common sense suggests he should. Beneath the confidence and bravado is a genuinely heroic man who carries the weight of protecting not just Earth, but an entire sector of the universe. Hal is the kind of person who sees a cosmic horror, hears that nobody has ever beaten it, and responds with, "Okay, but has anybody tried me yet?"

Hal should sound confident, charismatic, and effortlessly likable. He is often the most naturally outgoing person in the room. Strong emotional range is important, as Hal's optimism can quickly give way to frustration, anger, heartbreak, or determination when the situation demands it. Inspirations could include Nathan Fillion's Green Lantern: The Animated Series performance, Josh Keaton's more earnest heroic energy, or even a touch of Han Solo without the cynicism.
