He sees everyone as his friend, much to the dismay of his father. Chick struggles with his relationship with his father as he is very against the violent tactics he preaches. He tries to win his love by winning as many races as he can, and his ultimate final goal: the Piston Cup.

Scene Background: Strip and Chick are best friends here. They're about to end their night out after a race until Strip asks for one last bit of fun.

EXT. OUTSIDE DRIVE-IN THEATRE - NIGHT 

STRIP 

Dang gun that was one good movie. 

CHICK 

(yawning)

Heck yeah it was. Alright, Strip I'm going to head back. 

STRIP 

Hold on partner, just one more thing. Let's go whizzing. 

CHICK 

Go what? 

STRIP 

You ever go full throttle down the road, wind in your face. It's pure bliss my friend. 

CHICK 

Sure, until you go 200 mph into traffic. 

STRIP 

No c'mon we'll take the backroads. 

CHICK 

I don't know Strip it seems a bit dangerous. 

STRIP 

Hmm, guess the rookie ain't as fast as he thinks.
