The Dragrat Presents: Gigi's (A Demo Reel Test for Year One)
brodie voices for The Curse of Elizabeth Street - Alistair Moskovitz, September 1987
This character lives a menial and mundane life, spending his days in cubicle heaven and his nights in front the TV watching reruns of old 50s sitcoms. The one pleasure he takes in his evenings is meeting his neighbor at Gigi's diner, the lovely Elizabeth Street, whom he'd fallen in love with since they were children. The character is the kind of lovable loser, who can crack a dry joke at opportune times.
Some nights, I sum up the energy to hop off the comforts of flash frozen dinners, and syndicated reruns on my armchair, to head down Gigi’s for supper and good company. This had often been the last solace of the day before the eventually of the grind strikes the next.

She giggled, her laugh delightfully scrunching her nose and squinting her eyes. I’ve found that I was usually good at making her laugh.
I tried once more to subdue him, which resulted in a treat of a sweeping left hook to the jaw, knocking my glasses off to the ground.
I stumbled. Almost fell, but caught balance, and touched my lower lip to see the fuzziness of blood and spit on my fingertips.
I saw red.
Nice work Brodie. A well deserved casting.
