The Narrator is critically important to the delivery of the story. Not only does it give important detail to the people around Punpun and the actions he does, but acts as his voice and mind as well. They should always sound very calm and content. Almost apathetic but not close enough to quite graze it. Another very difficult part to get correctly.

  • "The policemen asked him many questions over and over, until it was evening." 

  • "Punpun was just about too depressed to go to school that day." 

  • "Punpun actually wanted to be a baseball player when he grew up. He had never played baseball before, but he knew how much his dad liked watching baseball on TV. Sometimes he would wonder to himself; is this the same as "wanting" to do something?"
