the Talking Tree, aka Sassafras, is the overly-emotional, dramatic, and sensitive best friend to Velutina. She sees Vel as a sister, and often has to lean on her for support when she gets to caught up in her emotions and feelings. She is kind-hearted, insecure, and fears most things in Oz, regardless of whether they are good or bad.

Since "Of Oz" is a fantasy / half-comedy, I won't be relying too much on the musical aspect of things, though having the chosen voice actress sing small bits here and there would be an incredible plus.
