Throughout Halo the Covenant have been led by Heirarchs of the San'Shyuum species, referred to as Prophets. Three of which led the Covenant until its collapse in Halo 3. However, prior to and since then, members of the prophet leadership have had roles beyond what we see in the games.
Our Depiction Overview [How he/she will be presented in our film]:
The Prophet/Prophetess of Neglect will be one created for the purpose of the film, though the reason is to connect the film to more points in the timeline. One of these events is called Operation: Kinetic Storm, it is mentioned only once in Halo and that mention occurs in the Halo 5 limited-edition dossiers in a list of previous missions Buck undertook. Due to it being nestled in between the other Alpha-Nine missions it makes sense this one would involve the whole squad too, which would include the Rookie. The operation involved strike and reconnaissance missions in the disputed space regions, and likely against an unidentified target, this prophet will be that target.
How He/She Sounds
I will be looking for more of a wise elder voice for this character, but I am completely open to anyone trying out this role. I am especially keen on it possibly being a female role, since Prophetess' are not explored very much in the story.

The Covenant is in ruin, and the divine beyond is that much further from our reach. It is time for us to tread a new path, one I have foreseen for some time.
I am a big time Halo fan and I just love the franchise and when I saw this I knew I had to throw my voice at it. Whoever gets picked will be good choice
Gotta say I really love this audition too! It's gonna be a tough choice now for the Prophet but you're definitely in the running!
Your two different takes definitely gave me a good idea of where I think the voice needs to be. The first version I prefer more, but there's also elements of the second one that I like a lot too.
I would be curious to hear a sort of middle ground, or a mix of both where the voice moves from V1 to V2 for emphasis on certain words. Though some aspects of V2 are perhaps a little too intense for a prophet, they have much more of a high-horse/high-and-mighty kind of vibe usually that I'd say would keep them from sounding too rough or aggressive, as though they have an image to maintain and feel they're above the petty squabbles beneath them.
