Gianna Profaci comes from a very rich family that others are too afraid to ask if it's intertwined with the Mafia. She carries an intense aura that is suppressive; people are usually too afraid to speak up to her, not only because she carries herself with confidence, but also because she is not afraid to get physical in order to get what she wants done. She was chosen by the academy because her father thought it would be good to enroll her, as she was rather closed off from others outside of her family's circle; it would be good for her social benefit to meet others with conflicting ideologies.

Giana takes a more antagonistic role in the killing game, making it apparent from the get-go that she intends to win it, and she will not die in the aquarium that they are held hostage in. She will take any action needed to not only secure her own safety, but to confirm her survival. However, despite her antagonistic nature, she too is just as scared as the rest of the cast about the horrific situation she's been placed in.
