The Crying Child Series
Avni_Xaxa for Lazari Swan
Character: Lazari
Voice Type: Young female (teen range), soft, slightly breathy tone
Personality:Lazari is socially awkward and emotionally underdeveloped due to her upbringing. She tries to act normal but doesn’t fully understand how. She isn’t intentionally creepy—her unsettling nature comes from how casually she says things that shouldn’t be normal.
Performance Direction:
- Natural, slightly hesitant delivery
- Occasional stutters or pauses (not overdone)
- Soft-spoken, but not weak
- Casual tone even when saying disturbing or unusual things
- Avoid exaggerated “anime” acting—keep it grounded and real
Important:The character should feel like she’s trying to be normal, rather than obviously strange.

1. (soft, confused, just waking up) “Um… hi… I didn’t think anyone would still be here…”
2. (casual, unintentionally unsettling) “I don’t really remember what happened… but I think I made a mess again.”

Hey, I really liked your take on Lazari—the voice itself is honestly really close to how I imagined her, especially the softness and tone.
If I had one small note, I think it’s less about the voice and more about the delivery. Lazari feels like she’s trying to act normal but doesn’t quite get it, so adding a few more natural hesitations or slight stumbles could really bring that out more.
Also for the more unsettling lines, letting them sound a bit more casual—like she doesn’t realize they’re strange—could make it even stronger.
But yeah overall the voice is definitely there 👍
