In the distant past Espio would assist in defeating Dr. Eggman on Newtrogic High Zone.[1][2] Years later after Dr. Eggman vanished, Espio and the Chaotix Detective Agency were hired by the Resistance to look for the doctor so that they could bring him to justice.[3][4]
