He is in his early to mid 30s. His voice is energetic and has a lot of brazenness. I’m looking for someone for a mid to high voice.
Caprice is a member of the mafia, specializing in prostitution. So, while he enjoys having fun, he is also incredibly serious about his job, wanting to advance up the latter. He is not an evil person or a sociopath, but always puts himself before others. He is a very sophisticated and a well-mannered person, sort of like a 1960’s Bond villain. The relationship between Caprice and DeWolfe is of a sort of boss/disgruntled employee relationship, so their communication should be one full of understanding and back-and-forth dialogue.
(coy/sarcastically) Well, to tell you the truth, I miss your pretty face. It’s been keeping me up nights. Plus, you make absolute wonderful company. Sleep is overrated anyway. Come have a drink with me. We can talk about your future.
(getting slightly irritated): I guess I can understand. You’re comfortable with your status of scum and reporting to bosses just cramps your style, I suppose. It’s something that I don’t want to inform the “club” about. Besides, this is small potatoes and I thought you could use the work.
(matter-of-fact): Exactly. She spilled some wine and the carpet looked dastardly, if I may say so, so I had my men tear it out and put in some red wood flooring. It has a special coating on it to prevent staining of any kind. Wine, or other … things. (pause) Her clumsiness won’t stain the carpet anymore.
