Manuel "Manny" Calavera is the main protagonist of Tim Schaefer's, Grim Fandango.  He works as travel agent in the Land of the Dead as punishment for his sins in the Land of the Living.

Manny was originally voiced by Tony Plana, portraying the character with a Spanish accent and a sarcastic, and usually pessimistic tone, in the baritone range.  Again, you do not need to impersonate the original voice actor.  I just want a similar tone and delivery style of how Plana performed the character.

  • My story?  Sorry, I don't like dwelling on my past life.  I'm just trying to pay my time and get out of here.

  • (Sarcastic) Oh, don't let me stop you.  Go on.  I want to hear the punchline to this.

  • So...do you need me to find something for you to do or are you good over there?

That was a good take on Manny, but the audio has a lot of white noise. Did you have a fan on while you were recording or was this the fan from your computer?

    It was the fan of my computer. I didn't use a proper mic, but if you end up giving me the role, I'll get a proper one right away, no doubt. Also, thanks! PS: Any feedback for possible improvements?
