Carl Gillis is Greg and Clara’s oldest child and a major character in Moving On. He is optimistic and emotionally open, being the only character who is initially happy about Greg’s return. He is usually polite and tries to avoid conflict as often as possible, although he gets defensive about his insecurities, such as being called out for his bandage that he wears for attention, even though it did originate from a real injury. Carl, much to the distaste of Greg, is gay, which he faces heavy ridicule for, particularly from Greg. However, he has found validation from a large online following as a content creator, which does make him quite arrogant at times.
