Single Father, Firefighter suffering from depression after his divorce and other personal demons. He's an all around every-man type of character. But due to his unfortunate past, he keeps doubting himself every chance he get. Until Boss Lamb came into his life....
I wanted a very naturalistic, down to earth performance. With his voices (optional) either have an average or baritone voice.
[A bit nervously, after Boss Lamb asked him out]: Oh...I...I think beautiful ladies like you should have a young, strong lad to make them happy, not a useless old geezer like me...I would just end up disappointing you.
[Questioning whenever he'd go out on a 2nd Date with Lamb]: Uh...Well...Work is really eating up my time. I'm not sure if I'll be able to... [Sees her makes a cute pout face]: and...oh..oh well...sure why not? (laughs a little)
[Explaining his past to Boss Lamb]: Well where to begin...I was a firefighter, you see..between the long shifts, the possibility of burning alive and...well...seeing others burn alive...I started to drink.. and, well, it didn't take long for it to become a problem... Things went downhill after that..we had fights...I couldn't keep my job and then one day...she took the kid and moved away...and that was that.
Alright audition. Pretty naturalistic. Not the voice I'm looking for with Zebra Dad though but still, this is a good effort.
