Of all the characters on this audition list, Kirei has by far the most lines, appearing in every episode written thus far, and thus represents the biggest commitment by a significant margin. We're hoping for a relatively quick turnaround for episodes, so an ability to carve out time to record and send over lines is a must.


The character is a priest (and assassin) of the Catholic Church, an overt and obvious villain who barely hides his desire to murder his mentor and everyone else around him, and something of a schemer. His voice is quite deep, relaxed, and nonchalant, and a sonorous quality would definitely be a plus. He can switch between chilled out relaxedness and deep gravitas on a moment's notice.

  • "Rin, my child, if the church had a problem with magic, we would've drawn the line at the wine-transmuting zombie who walked on water. Clearly we did not do this."

  • "A hitman, you say? I don't suppose he takes jobs to take out distinguished, wealthy fire mages in red jackets, does he. Maybe also their wives and daughters."

I like the nonchalant, relaxed tone and manner here. Thanks for auditioning, and with luck I should be getting back to people on the 15th or 16th.

    Thanks, nonchalant was the way you wanted it so I tried my best. But, I'm guessing you didn't get my joke at the end? From other comments you seemed to like dark humour, but I'm guessing Joseph Fritzl just isn't someone known to you. I don't think I will, but hopefully I do get picked. No matter what good luck with the project and thank you for the feedback.
