She is around 10 years old.
The character is a real kid, not a cartoon, the lines should be delivered like a regular conversation in a small room, not too over the top and cartoony. It needs to be more like a real person you would find on a Nickelodeon or Disney channel kid's show.
Typical LA area accent.
Ellie is the brain of the group and speaks with conviction and confidence.
She lives in a house with 3 other girls. They are not related but are looked after by the same person (a relative of one of the other girls) and have fun and adventures together.
This is the opening scene where the girls are introduced. It is the beginning of summer and they are talking about what they should do this year. They are sitting in the basement of the house they live in. Ellie is on the left-hand side (camera left) of three other girls on the sofa. They are all facing a 4th girl.
The conversation is happy and optimistic and full of excitement for the summer but not over the top. She is addressing all the girls.
(Opening line of the scene addressing the other girls) What are we going to do this year?
(Replying to the suggestion of going camping, she's not too keen) I don't mind going for a week, but not all summer long.
(Showing her assertiveness and confidence in her tech abilities) The website will be finished by tonight.
