A keepsake gameboy that sprouts to sentience after being possessed by a creature in the gameverse. Uses a projection of itself to communicate and interact with the human world; appearing as a young, androgynous human of an unusually monochrome color scheme.

The general theme of this character will revolve around the dichotomy of black and white (combining good and evils to form something neutral), displayed by it's actions varying wildly in scope. On one hand, it is still a dangerous being of the gameverse who's primal nature begs it too feed, and it cares little about the consequences of it's actions on a fundamental level.

At the same time, however; it is still marred by memories of it's vessel being taken care of by the MC, and there are moments where it show it is capable of doing the occasional good deed.

It's personality is a mixture of childlike crudity, curiosity, and mildly condescending. It forms a symbiotic bond with the MC, and acts as a guide to all of the strangeness going on in the story.

It's voice should come off as a child of around 10-12 years, with a neutral tone most of the time, (not quite monotone, but The Gameboy usually doesn't portray much emotion through it's voice.  Usually, anyway) not leaning too close to sound distinctively male OR female.

  • [Callous tone after being informed of a murder. Poorly feigned concern] "No waaay, so the old broad was killed? Oh, that's so terrible, I...well, I could almost shed a tear. [A brief pause/but then speaks with a tone of macabre interest] "So, did you see it? I hear she was torn up, with all her little gooey fleshy bits hangin' out. Oh, don't you give me that look. Tch, you're no fun!

  • [Plainly] "You look drained. Why don't you take a break and recharge those batteries? Maybe we could play some...pokemon blue? If you keep overdoing it, you're gonna wind up in bad shape.

Hello there! Pleasure to make your acquaintance, and thank you so much for your interest in this project (that is hopefully why you auditioned). I've heard all of your auditions, but I'll use this space to layout some critique (breaking them into separate comments)

First off, the only one that I didn't think was in line for what I had envisioned for the respective characters was the role for "Mother". I'd like a voice that comes off a bit deeper and older for that role. However, the Lady Theia and The Gameboy role (my favorite audition, btw) are definitely workable. For the Lady Theia role, a few things are holding me back from casting you there, which I will mention in the next comment

Concerning Lady Theia; the first line was superb, no complaints at all there. The second line didn't quite have the "oomph", so to speak. The goal is to sound as far off from her happy self as possible, almost seeming a different person with how nasty she gets. The anger has to be felt a lot more in her voice. The third one wasn't bad. Just a tinge more "disgusted" sounding would've made it perfect, and a fix on a slight stumble through this part: "Her eye will...probably open no more than a...tiny crack". There were some very brief pauses there. Nothing major, but just make sure the reading is smooth unless otherwise specified. If you'd like to audition with those points in mind, I'd love to hear it!

For the gameboy audition, I believe that this is the character I'd like your voice for the most. A good lack of emotion and androgyny (a girl or a young boy), which is what I was going for. Your mic quality isn't the best, which I can't fault you for too much, as I still appreciate your auditions. I bring it up here because the gameboy role will have a few filters applied to change the voice a bit, so the audio quality won't be as noticeable as a character such as Theia, who is a natural human with clear speech. If you do re-audition for Theia/get cast for The Gameboy, I'd like you to try and limit any background noise as best as you can. Apologies for the walls of text here, but I figured you deserved some critique as I do see effort and potential here. Thanks again!
